The following error message may appear when installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11:

Error 1330 – A file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file ENUGen~1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt. Error 24592 was returned by WinVerifyTrust.

Notes:

Solution 1:

The cabinet file is not being read properly when the system is accessing the DVD. Use a flat-file installation method to install Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 from the local hard drive:

Note: Depending on the speed of the DVD drive, it may take a few minutes to copy the contents of the DVD to the hard drive.

Note: If the cabinet error occurs when installing from a download, the downloaded files may be corrupt. Try downloading Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 again and install from the new download.

Solution 2:

If solution 1 returns the same error message, install Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 with a custom installation:

Note: When creating the new user profile, Dragon NaturallySpeaking will only install the vocabularies and language models that were selected during the new user creation process. When creating another user profile and selecting a different vocabulary or language model, Dragon will prompt for the installation files again (whether it was installed from a DVD or from the local hard drive).
