Question: How is the recording volume controlled?

The DS-2200 always records at a 100% volume level to prevent accidentally recording with the volume set too low.

The recorder has two levels of microphone sensitivity:

  • CONF (Conference) is a high-sensitivity level used in conference or lecture situations.
  • DICT (Dictation) is a low-sensitivity level used for close-up recording

Microphone sensitivity is set via the MICSENS switch on the recorder’s back.
