The Olympus Dictations Management System (ODMS R6) text highlighting and playback problem while in the Text Correction Window is caused by the use of some special characters. When you playback a dictation file in the Text Correction Window, the recognized words are highlighted when in playback mode. However, in the following cases, the text highlighting and playback were not in sync:

– When recognized text contains characters that have decimal value above 128 according to Windows-1252 character encoding.

– Paste some special characters on the Text Correction Window by copying from the windows character map

– Edit the recognized text with backslash and curly braces

These issues were fixed in Patch0007 and can be found on our FTP site.

Congratulations! You are done! Now your highlighted word and playback word will be in sync while in the Text Correction Window. Kick the tires and give it a spin!
