25MB is the largest file you can record, which is about two hours in the DS2 file format. It also depends on how much storage is available on the phone at the time of the recording. As you know, when transmitting, sending a two hour long dictation all at once is virtually impossible. Therefore, the transmission is broken up into increments and transferred piece-by-piece, until the whole file is sent.
