It may be that theScripting” engine(s) are not currently running or registered to run on this PC. Attempt to register the script engine(s) as follows…(Admin rights required !)

  • ClickStart” > Run” and type the following .. regsvr32 scrrun.dll
  • ClickOK”..you should receive a message that the..dll was successfully registered..”
  • ClickStart” > Run” and type the following .. regsvr32 vbscript.dll
  • ClickOK”..you should receive a message that the..dll was successfully registered..”

Now try installing the SpeechExec application again. There are two possible outcomes..

  1. The installation is successful and no further action is required.
  2. The installation fails but you receive a more detailed 1720 error which can help in the resolution of the problem.
