SpeechMike Firmware v3.17
Philips® SpeechMike Firmware v3.17 is a minor update that only affects the SpeechMike Premium Touch.
The SpeechMike Premium Touch is relatively new to the SpeechMike series. While it’s very similar to the SpeechMike Premium, it has a touchpad mouse instead of a trackball. Because of this, the SpeechMike Premium Touch does not use the same firmware as the SpeechMike Premium.

Philips SpeechMike Premium Touch models SMP3700, 3710, 3800, and 3810 can install this firmware update.
What Does the SpeechMike Update Do?
For anyone who uses Keyboard Mode on their SpeechMike Premium Touch, perhaps with Dragon speech recognition, you will regain mouse functionality.
How to Install the Firmware Update
- Make sure your SpeechMike Premium Touch is plugged in and stays plugged in.
- Download Firmware v3.17 here and save it to your desktop.
- Unzip the firmware file.
- Follow the instructions in this article, starting at Step 2.
